WasteTech-2003

3rd International Trade Fair and Congress on Waste Management and Recycling
Moscow, June 3-6, 2003

WasteTech was established in 1999 and was developed to meet waste issues challenging Russia today. It is organised every 2 years and has rapidly gained the leading position among other events on waste management and recycling. WasteTech has become the most important forum of this kind on the whole post-USSR territory and offers to manufacturers, public servants, municipalities, operators, researchers and everybody involved in waste management and recycling industry in Russia and CIS a platform for meeting and discussion of the latest developments and up-to-day solutions. A Congress on Waste Management and Recycling WasteTech is concurrently organised with the exhibition.

WasteTech-2001 attracted 146 exhibitors, including 33 international and approximately 2,400 visitors from all regions of Russia and Newly Independent States. Over 500 delegates participated in WasteTech-2001 Congress Event. WasteTech-2003 is expected to have over 180 exhibitors  (50-60 international) and more than 3,500 visitors. The Trade Fair and Congress will be held in the State Convention and Hotel Complex “Rossia” located very close to the Kremlin and the Red Square.

WasteTech presents the most suitable exhibition in Russia in terms of waste management but can equally address solutions to the problems and potential pertaining to agricultural, forestry and animal waste. The Consortium with the help of local partners and the exhibition Management are elaborately working on the promotion of this new aspect and will arrange so that potential investors, administrative officials and academics will be present.

Similar to the previous exhibitions, the Consortium is preparing an EU Pavilion which will host 8 EU biomass companies. Each company will receive a 9m2 booth, free of charge.

AGROTEC’2002 6th International Agriculture Fair, Ankara, Turkey (5th – 8th September 2002)

AGROTEC'2002 was held from September 5 to 8 at the Altinpark Expo-Centre and is the most important annual meeting for the Agriculture Industry in Turkey. AGROTEC hosts a great number of exhibitors from Turkey and neighbouring countries and attracts more than 50,000 visitors. It is supported, among others, by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and the Turkish Chamber of Agriculture. Additional information can be found at www.infofair.com.tr

The Consortium of companies in charge of the programme being aware of the great potential of the Turkish Market and in an effort to increase public awareness and promote EU Biomass Technology, organized a dedicated Pavilion which hosted several EU Biomass Technology Manufacturers who had expressed their interest in attending. The participating companies received, free of charge, a 3m x 3m fully equipped Shell Scheme Booth. These companies were:

Consortium experts from EXERGIA (Greece), MERKAT (Turkey) and GREENLAND RECLAMATION (U.K.) were continuously present at the EU Pavilion throughout the exhibition. They provided support to the participating companies and disseminated information to the public on Biomass Technologies and EU incentive programmes for the duration of the exhibition.

CBHT 2002, China Beijing International High-Tech Expo, Beijing, China (23rd-28th May, 2002) 

A large stand under the aegis of the European Commission was prepared at the BEIJING INTERNATIONAL HIGH-TECH INDUSTRIES WEEK - INTERNATIONAL SCI-TECH EXPO (CBHT 2002, May 23-28, 2002). The EU Pavilion was thoroughly organized and hosted 5 European manufacturers. With the cooperation of The Chinese Biomass Association, all potential partners and professionals were invited to visit the stand and were introduced to the representatives of various EU Biomass Technologies.

Each company present at CBHT 2002 displayed information and dissemination material related to their products nd technology solutions in a free Shell Scheme Booth of 3m x 3m at the exhibitions-Pavilion. Experts from EXERGIA, Athens; E.V.A. - the Austrian Energy Agency, Vienna and British Biogen, London were also present at the CBHT 2002 supporting the participating companies and providing information on European Union Biomass Technology and EU programmes to concerned visitors.

The exhibitions-Pavilion took place on the 2nd floor in the Environmental Protection Technology & Equipment Hall (Main Exhibition Hall - Hall 1 - Area 2A - Booth No. 1522-1535) of the workshops International Exhibition Centre, Beijing. CHBT focuses on E-communication & IT, Biotech, Engineering, Hygiene & Medicine, Environmental Protection, New material & energy, Aviation & Space technologies, Engineering technologies, Sports technologies, Architectural technologies, Modern Agricultural technology and Products
